After scoring 7 minutes into the game, spirits were high for the Ladies 4s. We had the upper hand for the first half but unfortunately no one else joined Lucinda on the score sheet. Bishop’s Stortford’s half time jelly babies worked wonders and they came out much stronger in the second half. Our defensive line held firm, calmly dispatching each attack. And on the rare occasion they did get through. Helen’s diving saves kept the ball out of the goal. We were all a little frustrated to not get more goals, then we reminded ourselves we kept a clean sheet and won the game, two things that would have been miraculous last season.
