What a game!! One of those that confirms why we turn out each week. A clear, crisp sunny morning in Hatfield and the 4s had all brought their A game. We got our first goal 20 minutes in, with Shelly drawing the keeper to the right post, then delivering a perfect pass across the goal for Jacquie to sweep the ball into the left hand corner. Welwyn were quick to respond with a goal of their own, and then snuck another one past our defence. What came next was a clear contender for goal of the season from Deb who deftly received a pass putting her one on one with the keeper who come out to meet her. From this moment, there was only ever one outcome, but what a spectacular choice of shot, calmly lifting the ball over the head of the standing keeper to drop into the goal. The away crowd of three went wild!! 4 goals in 5 minutes!!

The second half required us to dig deep, not lose focus and play the great passing hockey we have developed over this season. Another goal from Deb put us in the lead and we summoned our inner Gandalf - you shall not pass - to come away with the hard fought, well earned win. An amazing team effort. MoM was shared between Jess and Tia.
