Letchworth Hockey Club has public liability insurance, but any personal accident cover that may be required must be taken out by individual members themselves at their own expense
Letchworth Hockey Club was formed following a meeting of local hockey players at The Anchor Pub, Hitchin on 5 April 1960 and started playing with 2 Men’s teams at the Baldock Road Recreation Ground. Subsequently they moved to Letchworth Corner in Muddy Lane to join Letchworth Cricket Club and help justify funding for the building of a new Clubhouse. In 1974, the Ladies section was formed and Ladies changing facilities along with Squash Courts were built at Letchworth Corner.
The Hockey and Cricket Clubs moved to Whitethorn Lane in 1996 and with major grants from Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, The Football Trust and The National Lottery, a new Astroturf Hockey Pitch was laid and the Clubhouse refurbished to provide a showpiece sports facility in North Herts. Since 1975 the Club has had an increasing number of Adult teams playing at County, Regional and National level as well as a flourishing set of Junior teams.

Our club kit is supplied by The Sports District.
HOME KIT
Our home kit is the green shirt, navy shorts/skirt/skort and yellow socks.
AWAY KIT
When a change of strip is required we play in a white shirt, navy shorts/skirt/skort and navy socks.
Letchworth Corner Sports Club is home to a variety of sports in Letchworth and the surrounding area. The Club is a not-for-profit sports and social club. Resident sports include Letchworth Hockey Club, Letchworth Cricket Club, Whitethorn Bowls Club and Hitchin & Letchworth Weightlifters Club.
In addition to the sand-based astroturf pitch, there is a county standard cricket square, a high quality bowling green and a weight-lifting centre.
Letchworth Corner Sports Club has a downstairs function room with bar (and kitchen facilities) that is available for hire and is regularly used for private functions and events. Other users include umpiring associations, model clubs and community groups. There are 6 changing rooms with easy access, while upstairs there is a comfortable sports bar and a viewing balcony.
