Letchworth's walking hockey team, bolstered by lots of availability, gathered on a sunny Sunday 4th August to play Chilterns walking hockey team. Our availability resulted in round robin games with two Letchworth teams, the Saunters and the Strollers, playing against each other to give the Chiltern team a well deserved break.
Things were played informally and in a very friendly fashion with neither side really taking count of the goal scoring position, instead focusing on the fun of the game and the atmosphere.
Our morning of hockey was followed by a social get-together afterwards with buffet supplied by the walking hockey crew.
Chiltern reported back that they'd really enjoyed the session and we're looking forward to our walking hockey festival on Sunday 15th September!
