At LHC we reintroduced Walking Hockey in the 2022/23 season running sessions during the warmer months ( May - Oct ) which proved popular not only due to the nicer weather but also due to social evenings in the bar with the Old & Bold summer league. We managed to fit in a couple of matches with Bedford HC. Numbers did improve with a few new members joining the club.
This season we were determined to keep the momentum going and, with the help of our England Hockey rep, we spread the word and now have 26 members including our latest - the lovely Jeanie at the ripe young age of 84 Yrs.
Walking Hockey is open to everyone from any age/ability...even if you have never picked up a hockey stick! Why not come along to one of our training sessions and give it a go?
