Won the toss (always helpful)

Started strong, giving them a shock. Nice patterns of play leading to some early opportunities ultimately resulting in AJ’s goal - deflected hit from the short.

They hit back with a well worked goal. Things were mostly even up to half time. At half time the sweets were delicious and Will’s contributions from the bench were much valued, resulting in a tweak in formation to attempt to get back on top.

Second half was anyone’s game - opportunities from both sides etc. The change of formation did help though. We clearly frustrated them as they had a man sent off (although according to a teammate that might not have been anything to do with us).

They hit the post 2 mins from the end - scary. In the end we held out for 1 all with what looked like a strong team performance.

Man of match went to Elijah for some confident saves and champagne moment was self designated to Phil for ‘his excellent picks’.

Overall, it was a good game as it’s always nice not to lose at Blueharts.
