Despite the very bouncy pitch, blazing sunshine and only two subs, the team worked incredibly hard from start to finish.

We got on the scoreboard in the first half with a well-taken penalty flick from Olivia, confidently sticking it into the right corner as the keeper dived the other way. We were the stronger team and created multiple short corners, although frustratingly couldn’t convert them.

Jo Pinn then got on the scoresheet with a birthday goal 🎂, flicking the ball into the net to make it 2–0.

There were a few interesting moments in the 2nd half, including Lottie somehow picking up a green card for reasons still unknown to everyone! Sarah also managed to upset the umpire after swearing at a teammate — only for the umpire to surprisingly swear back!

Sarah did, however, have the last laugh, rounding off the win with a fantastic team goal worked down the right-hand side before satisfyingly flicking the ball through the keeper’s legs.

A great team performance and a thoroughly deserved win, with Olivia deservedly taking Player of the Match. 💪🏑
