Letchworth 3s travelled to Bedford this weekend for what was expected to be a close and competitive match, with the two teams sitting just one place apart in the league table.
From the first whistle, both sides showed determination and strong defensive play, making it a tense battle for possession. Letchworth built momentum through sharp passing and disciplined structure, eventually breaking through in the 19th minute when Bekky slotted home a well-taken goal after an excellent assist from Izzy.
The rest of the game saw Bedford pushing hard for an equaliser, but Letchworth’s defence held firm. Abbie made several crucial tackles to keep Bedford at bay, while Sharon in goal was outstanding — pulling off a series of brilliant saves to preserve the clean sheet.
