After the frost of last week, the team were raring to go despite it being a 4pm away fixture. Our previous game against Broxbourne was a 7 goal thriller, with the away team winning by one goal. With our new-found confidence, built up over the intervening weeks, we had victory in our sights. From the whistle we were in attack mode and secured a 1-0 lead in the first half, from a beautiful attacking move finished by Cat ready on the back post.

Broxboune equalised early in the second half with a cracking shot. Our energy levels dipped for a bit, but we soon rallied and the attacking mindset reappeared. Unfortunately we weren’t able to convert these chances, but our defence ensured the Broxbourne runs came to nothing so the game ended with a 1-1 draw. MoM went to Zara who looked very much at home in her first game with the 4s, linking up brilliantly with fellow MoM contender Grace.
