Ladies 3s vs Blueharts 4

Letchworth 3s played a fantastic game, staying strong throughout and meaning our excellent goalie Haidee only had to make a couple, though crucial, saves. Chloe and Sue saw to it that the ball stayed out of our D with top defending, backed by the great support runs from our halfs, Izzy, Kayley and man of the match, Lois.

The strong press put the opposition under pressure with the mids delivering sharp triangular balls. Bekky, Lottie and Kelley played around the opposition and successfully made great manuevers up to the forwards. Sarah, Frances and Amy put pressure on their defence, winning some great short corners and striking some nice attempts on goal, really making their keeper work for it. The overall teamwork meant most of the game was spent dominating the possession and gameplay in the rivals half. 

Letchworth showed great enthusiasm throughout the game, although some slightly more than others, with Kayley and Francis both receiving unfortunate cards for their overeager efforts. However, despite the pressures, and being down to 10 men on a couple occasions, the 3s remained composed and calm. Especially towards the end of the second half, where the intensity of the opposition began to rise and Letchworth found themselves under more of an attack. 

While the 0-0 result may not accurately reflect the solid performance, the ladies 3s showed amazing resilience, control and work rate, regardless of only a single sub!
