Ladies 3s vs Cheshunt

It was a fantastic team performance this week, with every player putting in an incredible amount of effort and determination from start to finish. Despite only having one sub, the team showed resilience, teamwork, and real fighting spirit throughout the match.

Our attacking play was driven by some excellent leads, with Izzy playing a vital role in the central position—distributing the ball intelligently both out wide and up the pitch to keep the momentum going.

In the midfield, Abbie, Olivia, and Kayley were outstanding, making crucial tackles and ensuring those 50/50 balls went our way. Lottie read the game brilliantly, intercepting several key passes and helping us maintain pressure on the opposition with her composed play and sharp passing.

Chloe demonstrated great vision and produced some powerful hits that helped us push the ball into the attacking D, although we were just unable to convert those opportunities into goals. One of our best chances came from Amy, who executed a superb straight strike from a short corner—only to be denied by a well-organised Cheshunt defence.

The game remained tightly contested throughout, but unfortunately, Cheshunt managed to score a late goal in the final five minutes. Despite this setback, the team didn’t give up and pushed hard for an equaliser, earning a short corner right at the final whistle. However, Cheshunt held firm in defence to see out the game.

Although the result didn’t go our way, it was an outstanding performance full of effort, teamwork, and spirit. Everyone gave their all, and the team should be proud of how they played.
