Letchworth came out for a competitive, fast-paced game that set the tone from the first whistle. Although Blueharts were first on the scoresheet, Letchworth responded quickly with a well-executed short-corner routine: a firm hit from the top deflected deftly into the goal by Caz. The momentum continued as Ellie fired home a drag flick from the team’s second short corner of the match.

Blueharts pulled one back before halftime, but Letchworth restored their advantage with a rapid, flowing attack finished calmly by Rachel to make it 3–1.

The second half saw Blueharts dominate possession, forcing Letchworth into long spells of disciplined defensive work, including two crucial saves off the line. Blueharts removed their keeper in the closing stages in search of an equaliser, but Letchworth held firm to secure a hard-fought 3–2 victory.
