Another away game for Letchworth 2's their 3rd of the campaign this time against Rickmansworth 1 XI. Letchworth started well with confidence on the ball, moving well between the lines, which resulted in an early goal. Assisted by Adam Callis from a hit with pace from outside the D that just needed Richie Pearce to get in front of his defender and deflect it goalwards.
As the game progressed, Rickmansworth gained more confidence as Letchworth was unable to push on and get a second, even though Letchworth had multiple penalty corner opportunities throughout the match. Thanks to a MOTM performance from Ben Brind in goal, Rickmansworth were unable to take the few chances they had.
Letchworth ended the game stronger and finally managed to get a second after Adam Callis pounced on a mistake from the Rickmansworth goalkeeper and managed to collect the ball, round the grounded goalkeeper and pass the ball into an empty goal.
Letchworth could and probably should have scored more than 2 goals today's, but we will take the points and move on to yet another away game next week against Broxbourne.
